The MP Abdul Nasser Ahmed of the Kurdistan Patriotic Union bloc in the Parliament of Kurdistan praised the law of defining the genocide of the Yezidis.
The Parliament of Kurdistan voted today by the majority of votes on the law defining the crimes committed against the Yezidis as crimes of genocide.
Ahmed said in a statement to PUKmedia: 87 parliamentarians voted on the law and commemorating the occasion, in conjunction with the fifth anniversary of the invasion of the ISIS terrorist organization of Sinjar district.
He added that the federal government is obliged to compensate the families of the victims of 3 August 2014, and the reconstruction of the regions and guarantee the rights of the survivors according to law.
