Qubad Talabani, Deputy PM of the Kurdistan Regional Government, expressed grief for what the Yazidi Kurds have witnessed and suffered and appealed to the international community to consider this issue.

ISIS Terrorist gangs had occupied Sinjar on August 3, 2014, thousands of Yazidi Kurds had been killed, thousands of girls, women and children had been kidnapped.

Qubad Talabani, deputy prime minister of the KRG said: "Today is the fifth anniversary of the genocide of the Yazidis by ISIS terrorists, but it is unfortunate to see our Yazidi brothers still suffer and grief, despite the defeat of the terrorist organization."

Talabani added: What the Yazidis need is more than just sympathy and solidarity with them, pointing out that what they really need is concrete measures to move them forward.

The Deputy Prime Minister in the Kurdistan Region appealed to the international community and all concerned parties to consider this issue, and work with the Federal Government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to help them rebuild their lives.
