Najaf receives 75 artifacts from a citizen

The director of the Najaf Antiquities Inspectorate, Mohammed Badan, said Monday that the Commission received 75 artifacts from a citizen, pointing to the allocation of financial rewards for each person delivers artifacts to government agencies.


"Seventy-five archaeological pieces of Najaf have been received to antiquities inspectors by a citizen, a pottery tractor, machetes, glass bottles and other types, and will be sent to the Iraqi Museum in Baghdad," Boden said in a statement.


He added, "We will reward anyone by an amount of money who delivers the artifacts and this encouraged a lot to hand over their artifacts ," noting that "the Minister of Culture has an order to spend these amounts."
