UNESCO votes on the inclusion of Babylon within the list of world heritage, but on one condition

On Friday, UNESCO voted to include Babylon in the World Heritage list provided that the waste is removed until February 2020


For its part, the Culture and Information Committee of the Parliament announced today the inclusion of Babylon in the list of world heritage officially.


In a brief statement, Iraqi Ministry of Culture announced: "The discussion of the topic of the inclusion of the archaeological city of Babylon in the World Heritage List started now," without giving further details.


The 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee was launched on Monday in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku, with the participation of an Iraqi delegation led by the Minister of Culture, Tourism and Antiquities, Abdul Amir Al-Hamdani.
