The US has imposed new sanctions on Iran on two people and a company based in Iraq, the US Treasury Department announced on Wednesday 12/6/2019.

The US-sanctioned company is SWRC, also known as the "South Wealth Resources Company" for general limited liability trade, a US Treasury statement said on Wednesday.

The Treasury added that the company is part of the financial network of the Qods Force of Iran's Revolutionary Guards, accusing "the South Wealth Resources Company" of selling weapons worth millions of dollars to Iraqi militia backed by the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.
