Exxon returns 22 experts to the West Qurna field

Basra oil company announced Wednesday, the return of 22 experts in Exxon Mobil to the West Qurna field, north of the province out of about 80 foreign workers.


The company said in a statement obtained PUKmedia a copy of it, "The next Friday will see the arrival of 30 other experts, and the completion of the arrival of experts will be next Sunday," noting "to move towards the escalation of production in the field as planned in the budget in 2019."


The company added that "production will reach 450 thousand barrels per day, where the current production rate is of about 435 barrels per day."


West Qurna is one of Iraq's largest oil fields, located north of Rumaila field, west of Basra.
