Khanaqin .. Large fires in the farmers' crops

Fire broke out Wednesday in a village in the district of Khanaqin.


A security source at the Khanaqin police told PUKmedia: "Large fires broke out in the crops of the village of the Surmereen clan on the outskirts of the district", noting that civil defense teams in the city are still fighting the fires that broke out to this moment.


The source, who preferred not to be named added: The security forces opened an investigation into the incident to find out the causes of the fires.


For his part, civil activist Salam Abdullah told PUKmedia: The fire destroyed large areas of land and agricultural crops, calling on the security authorities to preserve the agricultural crops for farmers.
