President of the Republic receives an official invitation from the elected President of the Kurdistan Region

In a phone call, the President of the Republic and the elected President of the Kurdistan Region discussed the current political situation in Iraq and the region and in Kurdistan.


The elected President of the Kurdistan region, Nechirvan Barzani officially invited the President of the Republic, Dr. Barham Salih in a phone call this evening to attend the Swearing-In ceremony of the President of the Kurdistan region and they also discussed the current political situation in Iraq, the region in general and the Kurdistan region.


During the phone call, both sides agreed on the importance of maintaining unity and solidarity in this sensitive conditions experienced by the region and stressed the need to unify efforts to overcome the differences and keep away Iraq and the Kurdistan Region from crises.


At the same time, the President of the Republic and the elected President of the Kurdistan Region stressed the need for coordination and cooperation between the Kurdistan Region and the Federal Government and offered congratulations to each other on the occasion of the Eid al-Fitr, hoping that this occasion will become a source of stability, peace and the end of crises.


The President of the Republic also extended his congratulations to the elected President of the Kurdistan Region and wished him success.
