The PUK gets the presidency of parliamentary foreign relations committee

The parliamentary foreign relations committee on Wednesday 22/5/2019 elected a member of the Kurdistan patriotic Union bloc as its president.

 

A member of the PUK bloc Jamal Shkour told PUKmedia that, the committee elected Sherko Mirwais as its chairman following a competition between him and MP Ala Talabani.

 

The MP Jamal Shkour explained that MP Sherko Mirwais got 13 votes while MP Ala Talabani received 9 votes.

 

He added that, the committee will later elect deputy chairman and rapporteur.
