A French team specializing in archeology will reveal on Sunday the results of its research in the missing city of Sulaymaniyah.

Kamal Rashid, Director of the Department of Antiquities of Sulaymaniyah said in a statement to PUKmedia: The French team will report Monday on his discovery in the lost city, in the Kunara area near the historical cave of Hazar Merd.

He added that the French team, which has been operating in the region for five years, will display all its discoveries in the region and then hand them over to the department of the Antiquities of Sulaymaniyah.

The team, which included archaeologists from France, recently found the remains of an ancient city missing near the province of Sulaymaniyah, according to a statement of the French National Center for Scientific Research.

The missing city, believed to be 4,000 years old, near the Zagros mountain range, was found at a mining site called Konara, the statement said.
