Communist Party of China praises the role of President Jalal Talabani

Li Jun, Deputy of Chinese Foreign Relations Communist Party Committee, praised President Jalal Talabani’s role in developing and strengthening relations between the two sides.

 

This came during a visit of a senior delegation from the Communist Party of China, on Tuesday evening, to the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Erbil.

 

At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Saadi Ahmad Pira and Arslan Bayiz, members of the Political Bureau, the former Iraqi ambassador to China, Dr. Mohammad Saber, Farid Asasard and Begard Talabani, two members of the leadership council, and a number of members and cadres of the Public Relations Office of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan in Erbil. Arsalan Bayiz received the delegation, pointing out to the historical relations between the two sides, which began in the fifties of the last century on President Talabani’s hands.

 

For his part, Saadi Pira praised the role of the People’s Republic of China in the UN Security Council and expressed his pleasure in the economic and trade relations between Iraq in general and the People's Republic of China, exceeding trade exchange to 31 billion dollars.

 

On the relations between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Communist Party of China, Li Jun expressed his pleasure at the visit, pointing to the depth of historical relations between the two sides, noting to the role played by President Jalal Talabani in developing and strengthening relations between the two parties and establishing strong friendship between the two sides.
