Sweden .. Commemoration of the 31st anniversary of the Halabja tragedy

A solemn ceremony was held in the Swedish capital of Stockholm to commemorate the 31st anniversary of the chemical bombardment of Halabja.


The ceremony was attended by a number of officials in the Swedish government and members of parliament and a large gathering of the Kurdish community.


During the decrees, many speechs were given that referred to the crimes against the people of Kurdistan by the former Ba'ath regime.


It also called on the international community to define the Halabja crime as a crime of genocide and to prosecute companies that sold chemical weapons to the former Ba'ath regime to use against innocent citizens.
