Sulaymaniyah, arrest of the theft band that stole the salaries of Shar Hospital

Following Tuesday's robbery incident, with intense investigation and accurate intelligence, Sulaymaniyah Asayish was able to catch the theft band today Wednesday, March 13.

 

On Tuesday, a witness who was present at the time of robbery told PUKmedia: "The robbery was done in 5 minutes by a number of armed folks who were wearing masks, and they used a Nissan Patrol that had black windows". Shortly after the incident, Sulaymaniyah Police stated that investigation on the case has been initiated and they are trying their best to catch the robbers as soon as possible.

 

Today Wednesday, the Director of Sulaymaniyah Asayish announced the arrest of the band that robbed the allocations of employee’s salaries of Shar Hospital in the city of Sulaymaniyah.

 

In a press conference, Major General Hassan Nuri, Director of Sulaymaniyah Asayish said: "Thanks to cooperation and coordination between the security forces of Asayish, police and anti-terrorism in the province of Sulaymaniyah, we managed to arrest the band members within less than 24 hours after the incident and restore the money that was allocated to the employees’ salaries."

 

He added that the band is consisted of 7 people and all of them got arrested in the city of Sulaymaniyah and its outskirts, they were unable to take the stolen money out the city due to tightened procedures by the security forces.

 

"Unfortunately, some media outlets have published false news about the incident without relying on an official source," he said. "We call on all media to take caution in spreading news that affects the lives of citizens.”

 

The Director of Sulaymaniyah Asayish revealed that the house of one of the band’s members is located near the bank, which pays the salaries of employees, he monitored the reception procedures of the salaries by the Accounts Committee in Shar Hospital, and gave information to the members of the band, who in turn carried out the robbery through the use of two vehicles.

 

He said: "Thank God we managed to arrest the band and return all of the stolen money, and it will be returned to the hospital’s management to give it to its staff today."

 

On Tuesday, March 12, an unknown band has robbed the salary of Shar Hospital’s employees which is estimated to be 1 billion dinars, and Sulaymaniyah Police immediately started investigating the case to catch the band’s members as soon as possible.

 

According to PUKmedia’s information, after the Accounts Committee of Shar Hospital has visited Goizha Bank in Twimalik, they received their hospital’s salary share which was 1 billion dinars, and a number of unknown armed people attacked them and stole the money on Tuesday, and fortunately they got caught today Wednesday.
