Detection of 4 expired materials in the basket food of the displaced

The Ministry of Displacement and Migration revealed the existence of four expired materials as confirmed by the health examination within the materials of the food basket, which was supposed to be distributed to the displaced, while an investigation was confirmed and opened in this regard to audit the defaulters.

In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry stated: the Minister of Displacement and Migration, Nawal Bahaa Musa revealed the existence of four expired materials as evidenced by the health examination within the materials of the food basket, which was supposed to be distributed to the displaced, stressing the determination of the Ministry to destroy them in coordination with the Ministry of Health and open an investigation in this regard and auditing the defaulters.

He added that "Four food items that were supposed to be distributed to the displaced within the food basket which contains (27,656) basket, which is (lentils, chickpeas, beans and bulgur) failed in health examination, indicating that it will be removed and destroyed in cooperation with the Ministry of Health through the Committee that Will be formed from the two ministries."

The statement reaffirmed that "A committee will be set up to investigate the causes of the damage and failure of these materials in the health examination and auditing the defaulters," noting that "the problem is not limited to the waste caused by the damage of these materials, but this is a risk to the safety of the displaced if these materials within the food basket were distributed, and this cannot be tolerated.”

According to the statement, the minister inspected the ministry's warehouses in Shalchea, accompanied by Inspector General Mohammed al-Saadi and a number of ministry cadres and experts, conducted a survey of the materials in the warehouses and storage methods, and gave his notes and instructions in this regard.
