Iraq hands the remains of 300 prisoners over to Kuwait

On Friday, Basra police announced handing over the remains of 300 Kuwaiti prisoners killed in the 1990s to Kuwait, noting that the number of missing Kuwaitis in Iraq was 613.

In a press conference, Basra police commander, Rashid Flayah, a member of the Kuwaiti-Iraqi tarcing committee, said: "The remains of 300 Kuwaiti prisoners have been found over the past 15 years and they were handed over to Kuwait."

He added that "The search for the remains of Kuwaiti prisoners continues, which recently has been proceeded in the province of Dhi Qar in southern Iraq," pointing out that "the number of missing Kuwaitis in Iraq killed by Saddam Hussein’s regime is about 613 people."
