Commemoration of the 31st anniversary of the Anfal crimes of Doli Jafayati

With attendance of party and government figures, martyrs and Anfal people and the masses of the area, the 31st anniversary of Doli Jafayati Anfal crimes has been held honorably in Dukan County.

During the ceremony, Hakm Qadir Hama Jan, a member of the political bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan delivered a speech saying: "The Ba’athist regime, 31 years ago, did the first Anfal operation in this area, and the atrocious regime tried to break the will and determination of the Kurdish people and Peshmerga forces, but all of its attempts failed, and we were able to prove that we are a force that will not surrender and cannot be broken.

He added that the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan was and still is in the service of the Kurdish people, and that is why we are trying to form a strong government that puts the wealth of Kurdistan Region in the service of citizens and the reconstruction of their regions, pointing out that it is not possible to form that government without the participation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.

For his part, Mahmoud Haji Salih, Minister of Martyrs and Anfal in Kurdistan Region, delivered a speech during the ceremony, saying: It is necessary to allocate a large budget to return and identify the remains of martyrs and Anfal Kurds, expressing regret for the absence of such budget to date, which caused the delay in the process of returning the remains of the martyrs.

Salih added: The Council of Ministers of Kurdistan Region and with the efforts of Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister in the Kurdistan region, plots of land were allocated for the families of martyrs and Anfal.
