International Coalition reveals the number of US troops in Iraq

The international coalition said that the US forces stationed in Iraq is to assist its forces.

 

The website of Russia today, quoted the spokesman for the International Coalition, Colonel Sean Ryan on Wednesday 20/2/2019 as saying, "There are more than 5,000 US officers and soldiers inside Iraq who are assisting and advising Iraqi forces." 

 

The Defense Ministry of the federal government denied the presence of US combat troops on Iraqi ground.

 

"There are no US combat forces or foreign bases," said the Iraqi Defense Ministry Information Director Major General Tahseen al-Khafaji , adding that "the existing American forces are only providing logistical support and work in the field of training and armament."
