PUK President: Masrour Barzani Cannot Even Become Director General Without PUK's Approval

Bafel Jalal Talabani, the President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), clearly stated that the PUK is more prepared than any other political party for the upcoming parliamentary elections. He emphasised that the elections will take place on the scheduled date of October 20, 2024. 

President Bafel Jalal Talabani stated during a news conference today, Tuesday, that the PUK is well-prepared for the elections, while the other parties have not yet made the required preparations. "This time, no one can avoid the elections, and they will be conducted on schedule, God willing," he emphasised.
  
In response to statements made by certain Kurdistan Democratic Party leaders about Masrour Barzani's appointment as Prime Minister of the upcoming government cabinet, President Bafel said, "I wonder how he would become the head of government? There is no longer a majority of 50+1, nor 11 seats against zero, so I swear to God, without the approval of the PUK, Mr. Masrour Barzani will not even assume the position of Director General."
