PUK Official: PUK Wants to Correct Course of Governance

A member of the Political Bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) emphasised that the PUK wants to correct the course of governance in this election.

A senior delegation from the PUK Political Bureau convened with a large number of members and cadres of the PUK at the PUK's Chamchamal headquarters in Chamchamal, Sulaymaniyah. The meeting focused on strategies to guarantee success of the election process and implementing democratic reforms. 

PUK Political Bureau Member Rafaat Abdullah spoke about the importance of the Kurdistan parliamentary elections for the PUK and the public, saying: "The PUK wants to conduct elections on time to establish a service government that can effectively serve people. We desire this election to serve as a means to rectify the course of governance in Kurdistan."

In addition, he addressed the sacrifices made by the people of Chamchamal and emphasised that this region has witnessed the highest number of sacrifices and has played a significant part in the battle and revolution. Consequently, he emphasised the importance of providing them with the best possible standard of service.

Rafaat Abdullah was accompanied by Sarkawt Zaki and Rzgar Haji Hama, members of the PUK Political Bureau, and Wasta Rasul and Mustafa Chalawi, members of the PUK Leadership Council.

Sarkawt Zaki and Rzgari Haji Hama emphasised that the PUK is currently working as a team to make the PUK stronger to serve the people of Kurdistan.
