CTG: The killer of Kirkuk's top student is arrested

The General Directorate of Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) announced the arrest of the defendant who killed the top student who graduated from high school with excellent grades.

"The killer (Harem Jabar Majid Amin) was arrested in a special operation in coordination with the Western Sulaimani Security (Asaiysh) and Kirkuk Intelligence and Security Directorate," the CTG stated in a statement on Friday, December 9. "Information was gathered and thorough investigations were conducted in order to find the killer of Kirkuk's top student.

A day after going missing in Kirkuk, Kurdish student Ahmed Azad Assi, who had just graduated from high school and had won the top spot in the 12th-grade finals, was found dead. His family claims that he vanished after taking a taxi to go shopping in the town.
