Qubad Talabani: The labor bill respects human rights and ensures gender equality

The Council of Ministers voted on the labor bill, deciding unanimously that it be sent to parliament for approval.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), wrote on his official Facebook page regarding the labor bill and said that "the Council of Ministers approved the Labor bill, it is an important and modern Bill that will further revive the economy, market, and private sector."
He added, "the labor bill protects the rights of workers and employees in the private sector, considers gender equality, and reorganizes labor contracts, working hours, and the rights of young people and women according to international standards."
Talabani mentioned that "he was pleased the Council of Ministers placed this task on his shoulders and a ministerial team and thanked the Office of the Prime Minister and Ministries of Social Affairs and Planning for their assistance and support in preparing the bill."
