Slemani University elected as the first university in Kurdistan Region

The University of Slemani ranked first place in Kurdistan Region's universities ranking and ranked third in Iraq's universities.

KRG's Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced the classification of universities in the Kurdistan Region. The University of Slemani ranked first place, while the universities of Saladin and Duhok ranked second and third, and the Medical University of Erbil ranked fourth.

The ministry also indicated that the University of Slemani ranked third place among universities in Iraq.

The SCImago Institute for Classification of Institutions and Universities ranked the universities for 2021.

The University of Slemani was among the top 10 Iraqi universities, with a score of 760 points, only 5 points behind the first rank.
