SOHR warns that ISIS fugitives could head to Iraq

Iraq 12:06 PM - 2022-01-27

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed that Ghweran prison in Al-Hasakah governorate houses approximately 3,500 ISIS terrorists warning that the fugitives from prison are heading to Iraq.

Rami Abdel Rahman told PUKmedia that hundreds of terrorists escaped from Ghweran prison after terrorists attacked the prison from outside, pointing out that these fugitives are being chased within three security cordons in and around al-Hasakah.

Abdul Rahman revealed that the fugitive terrorists could go to Iraq and into Syrian territory, stressing that the problem lies in the lack of a census of the names of these terrorists.

On the other hand, he confirmed that the clashes in the prison and its surroundings have led to the killing of 151 ISIS terrorists, while 53 Asayish forces, guards, anti-terrorist forces, and the SDF members were martyred, in addition to the martyrdom of 7 civilians.
