Slemani hosts the Arab Fencing Championship

On Sunday, the Iraqi Fencing Federation announced the participation of 14 countries in the Arab Fencing Championship, which is scheduled to be held in Slemani.

Azhar Ali, the media coordinator of the tournament, told PUKmedia, that 14 countries have announced their agreement to participate in the Arab Fencing Championship, which will be held in the Slemani Governorate.

"The Iraqi Federation for the game has completed all the procedures with organizational and logistical matters to receive the participating delegations, including obtaining entry visas for all arrivals to Slemani," he added.

He indicated that there is high cooperation and coordination with the Iraqi Olympic Committee and the Ministry of Youth and Sports, with KRG and the Slemani Sports Club for the success of this tournament.

Ali stressed that the preparations are being completed optimally to be a tournament worthy of the name of Iraq, especially this tournament that has been absent from the country for three decades.

The halls of the Slemani Sports Club are scheduled to host the activities of the Arab Fencing Championship, which will start at the end of this week.
