Kurdish referee to oversee European Goalball Championship games

An international Kurdish referee has been invited to run the 2021 IBSA Goalball European Championship games.
Azhi Muhammad, the international Kurdish goalball referee, told PUKmedia that he has received an official invitation from IBSA to participate and oversee the final games of the biggest European Goalball Championship which will take place in Samsun, Turkey at the end of this week.
Muhammad was born in 1993 and became an international referee in 2019. He had previously run the games of the 2019 West Asian Goal Ball Championship.
The IBSA or the 'International Blind Sports Federation' is a non-profit organization founded in 1981 in Paris, France. It was formerly known as the International Blind Sports Association. IBSA's mission is to promote the full integration of blind and partially-sighted people in society through sport and to encourage people with visual impairment to take up and practice sports. IBSA is also a full and founding member of the International Paralympic Committee.
