KRG receives more than one million liters of gasoline

On  Sunday, KRG's Department of Media and Information announced that more than one million liters of gasoline will reach the region.

The department stated, "540,000 liters of gasoline will arrive at the gas stations today in all the governorates of the Kurdistan Region, and the quantity will be doubled during the next two days."

The department also explained that the problem is not only occurred in the Kurdistan Region but also in the entire world, and KRG did not hesitate to reassure its citizens that it made every possible effort to solve this problem.

The Kurdistan Region has had a shortage in natural resources for a few weeks now, and the prices are getting higher daily. 

Fuel prices in the Kurdistan Region remain high with the price of a liter of super and medium quality exceeding 1000 dinars (70 cents), while the normal quality is 900 dinars.

On Monday, the KRG Minister of Natural Resources announced that the Iraqi Oil Minister decided to send one million liters of gasoline daily to the Kurdistan Region.

Besides, the Iraqi Oil Minister also promised to send 150 thousand liters of white oil daily to the Kurdistan Region for 27 cents (400 Dinars).

"The shortage is due to a technical problem which the Bazian Refinery Station has stopped working, and we're currently cooperating with the Iraqi Government to solve the problem," the KRG minister stated.
