Iraq announces 1,064 new cases of Covid-19, 36 deaths

The Iraqi Ministry of Health confirmed 1,064 new coronavirus cases on Saturday, raising the total number to 2,045,027 in the country.

The Ministry also said that 36 more people died from the virus during the day, bringing the death toll to 22,937.

2,207 patients recovered from the disease bringing the total recovery cases to 1,984,439 in Iraq, the ministry added.

The new cases were recorded after 14,853 suspected cases were tested across Iraq during the past 24 hours.

The ministry also said that the total number of citizens who received the coronavirus vaccine has reached 5,521,236 citizens.
