Iraq announces 1,388 new cases of Covid-19, 26 deaths

The Iraqi Ministry of Health confirmed 1,388 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, raising the total number to 2,040,235 in the country.
The Ministry also said that 26 more people died from the virus during the day, bringing the death toll to 22,836.
2,938 patients recovered from the disease bringing the total recovery cases to 1,976,907 in Iraq, the ministry added.
The new cases were recorded after 18,986 suspected cases were tested across Iraq during the past 24 hours.
The ministry also said that the total number of citizens who received the coronavirus vaccine has reached 5,400,805 citizens.
