The United Nations Mission in Iraq (UNAMI) launched a campaign to encourage Iraqis to participate in the upcoming elections.
The United Nations launched a campaign under the hashtag (#We elect_Iraq) in three languages, Kurdish, Arabic, and English.
UNAMI erected huge murals in Baghdad, which have educational phrases motivating the Iraqi voter about the necessity of their participation in the elections.
On its official site, UNAMI stated, “The murals have started appearing in Baghdad areas and will soon spread to other parts of the country, to remind Iraqis of the importance of voting on October 10th."
Political analyst Ahmed Al-Rubaie told PUKmedia, "During the previous years, the performance of the political parties despaired the Iraqi citizens and created hesitation among the Iraqi voters."
"We need to encourage citizens by civil society institutions, the media, and the active forces to show that Iraqi people can change the government by participating in the upcoming elections," he emphasized.
