The Ministry of Education of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has announced more measures to prevent a hike in covid cases as school doors are reopening.
The latest measures include mandating facemasks for students and teachers at schools.
Kurdistan Region's schools are scheduled to reopen on September 14.
School studies were in a continuous on and off state in the Kurdistan Region due to the corona pandemic since early 2020.
KRG has adopted online studies for a period but insists to reopen school doors for the new academic year.
