The Slemani National Museum held an art exhibition on Tuesday in the city of Slemani with the participation of 17 artists from the Kurdistan Region and West Kurdistan (northeastern Syria).
Thirty-six paintings and art works were exhibited at the event and it will continue for 3 days.
Bakhtiar Saeed, director of the 7 Colors Art Foundation, told PUKmedia that "the third symposium was opened on Tuesday with the participation of 17 artists from the Kurdistan Region and West Kurdistan."
"The exhibition aims to create a bridge for art communication between artists and an atmosphere of cultural and artistic friction among artists of different parts of Kurdistan," Saeed said.
For his part, Syrian artist Rahim Mohsen told PUKmedia that "the exhibition holds a beautiful artistic message between Kurdish artists from Iraq and Syria."
"It is a message of love and peace between the two countries, and I feel very happy to meet artists from different schools, where we showed the aesthetics of art among peoples," he said.
Mohsen participated with two paintings that show the suffering of the Syrian people in light of a political and economic crisis, yet there is hope for a new life in a bright future.
