Renowned Kurdish actor Abdullah Khayat dies of covid

The famous Kurdish actor Abdullah Khayat died on Saturday in Slemani after losing the fight to the Covid virus.
Khayat was born in 1964 in Halabja.
He served Kurdish drama and theatre for over forty years. He has many TV dramas in Kurdish and has starred in many theatrical, cinematic, and television activities.
He died of coronavirus after 18 days in the hospital.
Qubad Talabani, Deputy Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Region mourned the death of the late artist.
Talabani's condolence letter said:
"We were saddened to hear the news of the artist Abdullah Khayat's departure.
Abdullah Khayat, a well-known artist in the Kurdistan Region, was one of the leading actors in the field of drama and television. He left a gap in the field of art with his departure.
On this sad occasion, I offer my condolences to the artists of Kurdistan, the family, and relatives of the deceased, and I consider myself to be a partner of your sorrow."
