Kurdish goalkeeper invited to join Iraq's Handball Team

On Thursday, Iraq's handball team coach formally invited Shirwan Mahmud, a Kurdish goalkeeper, to join their training camp in Slemani to prepare for the Asian Championship.
The Iraqi Handball Team's training camp will start on Friday in Slemani and lasts for 11 days, and Shirwan Mahmud is the only Kurdish player invited to the team.
Shirwan Mahmud was formerly the goalkeeper of Iraq's Handball Team and participated in several championships in the Arab countries', the 2009 and 2013 World Cup and Asian Cup; he also played for many prominent clubs in Iraq and participated in several foreign championships, including the Asian Club League with Slemani, Jaish, Nafti Wasat and Karkh clubs.
