"I Love Books" campaign announced in Slemani

The Gender Department of the office of the Deputy Prime Minister of Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), Qubad Talabani, held a special ceremony on Tuesday to announce the 'I Love  Books' campaign at the Bakrajo Public Library in Slemani.

The Director-General of the Slemani Public Library Alan Raouf who was present at the ceremony said that "so far, 5 projects regarding culturizing reading have been conducted in the governorate of  Slemani."

According to Raouf, 3 of the projects were conducted by the Slemani Public Library and the others were organized by the Qaradagh and Penjwen libraries.

Raouf pointed out that the Deputy Prime Minister of the KRG, Qubad Talabani, have provided over 500 to the Slemani Public Library at the last international book fair in Erbil and that today the Gender Department of the office of the Deputy Prime Minister gifted many books to Slemani's Bakrajo Public Library.

It is noteworthy that Slemani has 26 public libraries located in all districts and towns of the governorate.
