Kadim Al-Sahir invited to perform at the Gulf Cup in Iraq

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Iraq invited the famous Iraqi superstar Kadim Al-Sahir to participate in the celebration ceremonies of the Gulf Cup championship which will be held in Basra at the end of this year.

 

According to an official letter from the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports, Kadim Al-Sahir has been invited to attend and perform during the event.

 

Iraqis and even Arab countries consider him a great pillar in the Arab art world. Ae has a well-known artistic and famous path.

 

Kadim has left the Iraqi soil years ago and lives in Lebanon now. He only returned to Iraq once and that was after the fall of the Ba'athist regime, he only returned once.

 

Kadim Al Sahir has established himself as one of the most successful singers in the history of the Arab World, since the start of his career, with over 100 million albums sold and the highest-attended Arabic concert of all time. 

 

In 2003, according to an international poll conducted by BBC, more than half-a million people from 165 countries voted his composition Ana Wa Laila (Me and Laila), his most famous song about his love for Laila, as the sixth in the world's top 10 most popular songs of all time.
