Sulaymaniyah: New sportsbook published on life of Kurdish athletes who played in global tournaments

On Sunday, a signing ceremony took place for a newly publish sports book entitled (Two Decades of Pride for Kurdish Athletes with the Iraqi National Team 2000-2020), written by the young sports journalist Harez Jamal.

 

The book is writted in Kurdish language and includes the life, journey, and activities of Kurdish athletes who played with the Iraqi National Team between 2000-2020.

 

"This book includes the life and activities of Kurdish athletes who participated in international tournaments with the Iraqi National Team during the past 20 years," the author of the book, Haraz Jamal, told PUKmedia.

 

The book includes athletes who played in official international tournaments, such as the Olympics and international, Asian, and Arab championships.

 

"The book comes after years of continuous work to collect information and research on all Kurdish players, referees, and coaches, and the book includes interviews and biographies of more than 300 athletes," Jamal said.

 

Author Hariz Jamal has been working in the field of sports journalism for over 15 years. He is also a member of International Sports Press Association (AIPS).

 

He has two more books, namely, 'The Guide to Sports Journalism' and 'Behind the Lines of Stadiums'. He has participated in covering many international tournaments outside Iraq.
