Under the slogan (Dialogue of removing the masks), the activities of the 24th Galawezh Literary Festival were launched in the city of Sulaymaniyah, in the presence of many party, government, literary and cultural figures, and a large gathering of guests.

During his speech at the festival's opening ceremonies, Mulla Bakhtiar, the supervisor of the Galawezh Festival said, "The Galawezh Literary Center provided great services to Kurdish literature and art and contributed to all intellectual writers from many countries of the world."

He added, "We start the activities of this session of the Galawezh Festival in difficult circumstances, and there are still risks of disagreement between the political parties," adding that "uniting the Kurdish parties to protect the gains achieved is necessary."

Mulla Bakhtiar talked about the negative effects that the coronavirus left on the world in general, as this virus removed masks from faces and revealed great facts.

"The upcoming elections in Iraq are very crucial. Some parties that fear losing their seats will create problems either before the elections or after the elections because they are not democratic parties and do not recognize the democratic system," Mulla Bakhtiar said.

The supervisor of the Galawezh Festival referred to the current conditions in the Kurdistan Region and the issue of writing the constitution, saying that "writing the constitution is a very important matter and the political parties must agree on it quickly."

The Galawezh Literary Festival is launched every year where many party, government, literary and cultural figures attend, including figures from the Middle East and the world.
