Mr. Prime Minister,
Now that you feel compelled to do this,

It might have been accomplished sooner, with tremendous pride, with your approval, and more successfully.

This stage will pass, but the scars from these nine years will still be visible on people's bodies.

In your declaration, you claim that "the interests of the entire nation, including the Kurdistan Region, are served by this agreement."

I have two comments on this line.

First, you knew it would "serve the entire country's interests, including the Kurdistan Region."

Why didn't you do it sooner? Why did you not pay a single penny when the Peshmergas, teachers, retirees, and people with disabilities yelled that they could not afford to cover their daily expenses?

Secondly, since when did you start being Iraqi? that you are even barely mentioning Kurdistan?

If you assert, "Our position has always been to work with Iraq to negotiate a deal within the bounds of the Constitution," The referendum and the sale of oil to Turkey appear to have been paid for with salary savings by Peshmergas, teachers, and unemployed youth.

Everything you did was against your will. The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and all other parties have pressured you to end this failed policy for a long time. You persisted until you had no choice but to give up.

So please avoid using the word "agreement", This was a court ruling, and there was no need for your negotiations or visit. What we, the PUK, demanded was referred to as an agreement, and this is simply the implementation of a court ruling.

You thank both the president of the Kurdistan Regional Government and the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party after your speech. How could you not extend an apology to the Kurdish people?

After all, since routes have been blocked and you are unable to sell a drop, you start shouting about the welfare and interests of the people.

Obviously, the definition of "public interest" is different for everyone.
