Barzani Receives high Delegation from Journalists Defence Committee

Massud Barzani, the President of Kurdistan Region, received a high delegation from the Committee for the defence of Journalists including Mr. Michel Masenic, the head of the committee, Joel Cambina and Robert Mahoney, members of the Committee.
Mr. Masenic presented a report prepared by the Committee to President Barzani about the situation of the press in Kurdistan region.
Concerning the law of Journalism in Kurdistan Region, President Barzani said “We need several stages to achieve the full freedom; Kurdistan Region achieved good results on the way of freedom. I think that Journalism in Kurdistan Region is free, we need a law to organize work of the press in Kurdistan.”
