Presidents Talabani and Barzani Hold Meeting

President Jalal Talabani held today a meeting with Massud Barzani, the President of Kurdistan Region at Per-Mam Resort, Erbil Province.
They discussed the situation in Kurdistan Region, Iraq and the area in general.
In a joint press conference after the meeting, President Talabani said:”Mr. Massud Barzani and I discussed the situation in Iraq and Kurdistan region in general. We also discussed the relations between the KRG and the Federal Government in Baghdad. We emphasized the need to resolve the suspended issues between both governments.”
“Bilateral relations between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) was another issue discussed in the meeting”, President Talabani added.
President Barzani said:” Our views were in accord with his Excellency President Talabani concerning the issues we discussed in the meeting.”
President Talabani stressed the necessity to preserve our achievements to serve the interests of Kurdistan People.”
