Kurdistan Region and Russia Sign Economic and Commercial Agreement

Yevgeny Primakov, the president of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry signed an economic and commercial agreement with the Commerce Chambers of Kurdistan Region.
The agreement is considered one of its kinds between Kurdistan Region and Russia in the frame work of the commercial agreements between the Region and other states.
The agreement was signed following a meeting between Primakov and Dara Khayat, head of the Commerce Chambers Union in Kurdistan region who discussed many important issues that pave the way for more collaboration in the economic field.
Primakov emphasized his country’s willingness to consolidate bilateral relations between Kurdistan Region and Moscow.
Mr. Khayat described the agreement as:” A historical Agreement that achieves commercial and economic benefits for both sides, particularly the Kurdish side which needs to make use of the capabilities and technology of the Russian Companies.
