Mufti Receives Kurdish Parliamentary Delegation in Turkish Parliament

Adnan Mufti, the Speaker of Kurdistan Region Parliament received a delegation of the Kurdish Representatives in Parliament of Turkey. The delegation included Ahmet Türk, the President of Democratic Society Party (DTP), Sabahat Tunjal, Haseeb Qabilan the members in the Turkish Parliament and Kameran Youskal, the Vice of the (DTP) President.

Political developments in Iraq and Kurdistan Region and ways of promoting political and economic relations between Iraq and Kurdistan Region and Turkey were discussed in the meeting.

Both sides emphasized the need to reinforce political and diplomatic relations and to find solutions for the unresolved issues, also to support democracy and defend the human rights.

Türk, thanked Mufti for his generous hospitality and expressed his admiration to the progress in Kurdistan Region and appreciated the role that Kurds play in the New Iraq.

Mufti, referred to the important role that Turkey plays and hoped to consolidate political, economic and social relations between Kurdistan Region and Turkey through dialogue and mutual understanding to serve the interests of the Iraqi and Turkish People.
