Halabja Chemical Bombardment Victims to be Sent to Iran for Treatment

Halabja Chemical Victims Association has decided to send more than 280 victims of Halabja chemical bombardment to Iran to treatment.
The expense of the treatments will be from those donations which have been offered to the association by the Iraqi government and a Kurdish businessman.
The ousted Baath regime bombarded Halabja town with chemical weapons on March 16th, 1988. More than 5000 people lost their lives and thousands were wounded whose injuries are still incurable in Kurdistan region.
