International Center for Transitional Democracy Delegation Visits Erbil

 George Mansur, the KRG Minister of Civil Society met a delegation from the International Center of the Transitional Democracy. The delegation included Professor Estefan Geyarmati, Dr. Nessren Kitona, the head of Afghanistan Office and Daniel Bertha, the Project Manager.

They discussed ways of adpoting the Hungarian experience as a model in transition from dictatorship to a civil democratic system.

Prof. Geyarmati explained the objectives of the Center and its projects that it has carried out in the countries similar to the Hungarian one in setting the basis of democracy.

Minister Mansur talked about Kurdistan’s experience in building the civil society institutions, the freedom of opinion, and the KRG’s clear stance from the NGOs and urges to play their role in setting the democracy basis in Kurdistan which suffered long periods of tyranny.
