President Talabani Receives US Ambassador to Baghdad

President Talabani received today Ryan Crocker, the US Ambassador to Baghdad. Ways of consolidating all aspects of Iraqi-US bilateral relations were discussed in the meeting.

President Talabani referred to latest political and security developments in Iraq particularly the return of the Iraqi Accordance Front Ministers to the government and its influence on developing and strengthening the National Unity and establishing the joint leading of the country. Talabani emphasized the government determination to impose law and order in all over Iraq.

Talabani stressed that Iraq is making progress in reinforcing relations with its neighbor states and other states of the world, Talabani described it as a crucial step that supports the political and security achievements in the country.

Ambassador Crocker thanked President Talabani’s generous hospitality and appreciated his role in solving the problems and settling the disputes and consolidating Iraq’s position in the international field.
