Heads of permanent committees in Kurdistan Parliament Hold Meeting

Dr. Kamal Kirkuky, Deputy Speaker of Kurdistan Region Parliament, chaired yesterday a meeting of heads of the permanent committees in Kurdistan Parliament.
In the meeting, they discussed duties and activities of the committees. The committees were requested to monitor the work of the ministries and ways of carrying out the projects especially after passing the budget of Kurdistan region.
Dr. Kirkuky called on heads of the committees to monitor all aspects of KRG activities according to each committee’s specialization and to collaborate with the government to repair the shortcomings. In case of continuity of the shortcomings, the concerned minister will be summoned to the Parliament in order to be questioned. A program should be set in order to present clarifications by the KRG Ministers to the Parliament and the People of Kurdistan Region about the projects and programs of their ministries. Kirkuky said that KRG PM Nichervan Barzani and his deputy Omar Fatah expressed their desire to attend the Parliament sessions for the forementioned purpose.
