Turkish President Meets Kurdish Officials in Erbil

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Erbil on Monday evening, April 22, 2024, where he was welcomed by the Kurdistan Region's President, Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, and a high-level delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG).
After his meeting with Iraq's Prime Minister in Baghdad, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that during his visit to the Kurdistan Region, they would engage in talks about mutual cooperation. He emphasised that his country will not discriminate against any community in Iraq and will provide support to all communities.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan arrived in Baghdad on April 22, 2024, and was greeted by Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani. Later, the Turkish President met with Iraqi President Abdullatif Jamal Rashid to discuss trade and economic growth. Following that, the Turkish President visited Erbil and met with top Kurdish officials.
